Interesting article, but don't seem to be able to comment there.
For me, Cantu all the way - it's not just for afro hair.
The co wash is brilliant, along with the curl revitaliser "comeback curl", the curl activator cream... my bathroom is stuffed with their products.
Also, I generally buy in afro hair product stores - about 60% of the price on amazon or boots/superdrug.
And silk pillow cases are expensive, but they make ahuge difference.

I also find Cantu too heavy, I've been using Umberto but also just started using Bumble and Bumble curl range and love it, it's all silicone free

The side of my mop of curls. I’ve has layers and I don’t like it as I’m used to spirals not bubbles.

That's the one, it was Vicky Queen of Curls, industry award winner, who cut my hair and had worked/trained a bit for a while with Massey.
Not for years or anything.

Had my hair cut at Trepadora at the weekend. My curls are now really defined. Of course now I have to be able to replicate it. Hair feels amazing though and so far no frizz

I know this is an old thread, but was looking for recommendations for a mousse for naturally curly hair - have used Pantene defined curls mousse for the past 20+ years but it has been discontinued! 😭 I have tried curl creams but they don't work for me. I'd be grateful for any suggestions, please!
