Witherspoon’s 2 drink limit for parents

I just saw an article about Witherspoons deciding to impose a 2 drink limit with parents who have their children with them. How do you feel about this? Is this being unreasonable?

And we do this mainly because it works out cheaper to buy the bottle than to have it by the glass. We don’t necessarily always finish it though. And not everyone drives when they go out. Especially in London.

Yes, I would feel the same way about a bottle of wine at dinner. If my husband and I are out with DC then only one of us drinks, but in most cases neither of us would drink.

HomerSimpsonSmilingPolitely · 29/01/2020 23:02

There are 6 glasses of wine in a bottle. When I pour my own drinks at home there are only 3 Blush

Pub and restaurant measures can go up to 250mls especially for red wine. That’s five. A bottle is 750 mls. As I said, 2 each and one to argue over. Unless one of you is driving obviously.

Bluewavescrashing · 30/01/2020 06:46

3 x 250 = 750

LOL yes sorry, I must have had too much wine when I posted that Grin

Three large glasses of 250 mls or around 5 small/regular glassfuls as I originally said and someone corrected me to six.

But when you pour them yourself straight from the bottle they aren't measured exactly so it's hard to say how many mls per glass. I don't think many people pouring their own get six from a bottle.

Okay maybe not as is was at 06.30 in the morning Blush

Weatherspoons, nanny state, and they should stop supporting the EU.

Seriously, which parents would take their kids to a Spoons? They could catch anything off those carpets.

Brexitspoons. LOL.
