To want to thump my DH with the loo brush (kinda light hearted!)

So, spent all day cleaning the house, including the loo downstairs, (although I have two sons, I clean loos a LOT!) DH gets home from work, has his tea and I go up to put the kids to bed. I come back down and he's 💩 in the downstairs loo, my pet peeve, 💩 are for upstairs, anyway, I've just gone to the loo before bed and it's full of skids and we've had a massive barney about his lazy knobbish attitude, why couldn't he just use the handy bog brush? It's right next to the bowl!!!
AIBU, should I just use his toothbrush next time?

Erm, why are you cleaning the toilets for the men making the mess?

PawPawNoodle · 21/01/2020 00:08

You're unreasonable to think he can't use the downstairs toilet for literally it's only use.

He is a feral beast though, I'd have given him the opportunity to clean it before using his favourite clothing item to do it.

Tessabelle74 · 21/01/2020 00:13

There's no need for me to listen to him 💩 when there's a perfectly good loo going unused upstairs, if they have to I don't make them wait obviously! I'm not cleaning the loo, I've left it for him to do in the morning but I'm just here venting, hence the kinda light hearted title ☺

OMG he isn't allowed to poo in his own toilet Shock

Sorry but that's VVVU

Leaving skids in the toilet? Not ok but he is probably trying to establish some dominance or make his mark given that he is micro managed to the point of not being allowed to shit in one of his own toilets.

Sorry but that's just. Literally nuts.

Nifflernancy · 21/01/2020 00:32

Is there an actual reason you Don’t want him to use the downstairs one?

tectonicplates · 21/01/2020 00:36

Only on Mumsnet do people complain about people pooing in loos. Hmm

Marshmallow91 · 21/01/2020 00:37

I'd leave skidmarks in the toilet for you to see too if you tried telling me where to shit in my own house!

JohnVirgo · 21/01/2020 00:39

Their OWN loos at that Confused

TechnicalSergeantGarp · 21/01/2020 00:42

Downstairs loos are for weeing only, it is known. Your 💩 must smell like 🌹🌹 if you don't agree. We eat the same but my OH's guts do something rancid during digestion. I'd rather he went to another house tbh.

It is grim to leave marks in the toilet bowl. LTB or LTB to sort it out. 💐

Topseyt · 21/01/2020 00:47

Of course he should have cleaned his skiddoes off. He was unreasonable to leave it in that state. I always think you should leave the toilet as you would wish to find it.

However, you are unreasonable to complain about him taking a shit in a toilet in his own home.

My shit smells like shit. But if I want to shit in my own toilet I will. Imagine if DH didn't 'let' me, the screams of LTB would be deafening.

Tessabelle74 · 21/01/2020 07:20

😂 😂 OMG how many of you didn't read the title properly? Of course he can 💩 where he likes, in the garden if he wishes but clean it up afterwards! The reason I objected last night was I was eating and I do think it's rude to have to listen to a toilet trumpet show when he could have gone upstairs, the loo is 5 feet from the dining table!

This is my absolute pet hate! Who does he think cleans the skids off? The skid fairy? Absolutely make him clean the toilet!

Tessabelle74 · 21/01/2020 08:07

Cleaning up will be his first job(by!) when he gets up or the toothbrush is going in 😂
