Infected knee cut?

Sorry posting on here for quick responses.

Yesterday my toddler launched himself on me whilst I was on the bed and basically hit his teeth on my knee hard enough to make 2 little tooth size cuts. (He's fine btw didn't even cry the little tank of a child).

It was bedtime and in the middle of sorting both DCs I forgot about it.
I had a really busy day so didn't pay much attention to it in the morning but I have been in discomfort with it all day - clearly not enough to tear myself away from anything and check. I went for a shower tonight and I have noticed it seems like the fabric from my fluffy pjs got stuck on it last night so it hasn't scabbed over and it has now gone red about half an inch to an inch wide around the whole cut.

It's tender to touch where the redness is. I am trying to get the fluff out without irritating it too much atm.

There's no pus or anything visible but I'm just wondering what the best course of action is once I've picked the fluff out to stop it getting worse/make it better?

All bites, animal or human, deliberate or otherwise, should be seen by a medic: mouths are obviously chock full of bacteria. Did you give it a good scrub? The redness and tenderness around the cut suggests it might need a look. Pop a bit of eyeliner in the outside of the red ring so you can see if it expands.

And try to book in to see you surgery practice nurse ASAP.
