I have gallstones. Confirmed by ultrasound.
Since the ultrasound I have really struggled with intrusive thoughts that there is 'something worse' going on.
They scanned my pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen, liver etc.
They say they found the gallstones and some fats on my liver.
I definitely have all the symptoms of gallstones, including attacks of severe pain (that generally ease off after a couple of hours).
The GP has seen the results and a consultant surgeon in gastroenterology has seen them too.
I have surgery booked for next month to remove the gallstones.
I have these moments throughout the day where I suddenly think 'it's all a lie, you are much sicker than that' and I can't seem to shake them off. So right now I am sat here in mild discomfort (abdominal/gallbladder region) thinking I am dying. Can anyone talk me down a bit? A surgeon wouldn't get it wrong, would they?
