Help - I have a huge spot!!

I have a huge spot on my face and it's agony. I don't really care how it looks (I'm working from home for the next few days) but it's blind so doesn't have a head and it really hurts. It's right by the side of my nose and very red and about 7mm across. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting it to either come to a head or get it to fuck off completely?

Don’t try to pop it or lance it. If it bursts internally then it can do more damage under the skin. A hot cloth to encourage it to come to a head and a hydrocolloid plaster should help.

Old wives' tale coming up - use the back of a hot spoon to bring it to a head.
