My ds 8 (9 in august) was diagnosed just before his 4th birthday with global development delay.
The first few years it seemed thats all it was but for the last 2 years we have thought its more than that he has been displaying more and more signs of ADHD.
He is a few years delayed, has a ehcp and attends a special education school which is fantastic.
We last seen a paediatrician around a year and a half ago who dismissed our concerns and said its a development delay, thats it.
I want to go back to them and not give in to their easy diagnosis and guesses without any assessment (he hasnt been assessed since he was 3 and alot has changed)
I have piles of paperwork from ehcp, school, education psychologist and he has the same issues at home and school so im sure i have them backing 100%
Do i even bother going back to the paediatrician after the last time he wouldnt listen?
Where do i begin? I feel so lost where to start the process
