Me and DD have very different opinions on prom budget

She is saying friends parents are forking out
Tan - £20
Nails - £30
Makeup - £40
Hair - £30
Dress - £300
Shoes - £100
Bag - £50

I'm suggesting, and think i'm being EXTREMELY generous

Tan herself using her normal fake tan
Nails - I don't mind paying however that would be decided nearer the time
Makeup - £40
Hair - She can curl herself
Dress - Under £200
Shoes - £30
Bag - £30

AIBU to suggest this? Is it too little or too much? Is it reasonable? DD is an only child so I have no experience with this at all. Any help appreciated x

I think reasonable on everything but maybe hair. I certainly enjoyed having it done properly unless your daughter is good at it. 300 pound is crazy for a prom dress in my opinion
