To ask you to tell me how old I look?

I was insulted today and told I look much older than I am. Could I ask you to tell me how old you think?

@Cyclelover I think that you were extremely brave and responded very well to the hundreds of replies. About 18 months ago, I posted a photograph of me wearing a dress with "is this too young for a 48 year old?" or something like that. I had a lot of replies, some about the dress but lots about my hairpiece and one in particular saying I looked much older than 48. That one really stuck in my mind!! I didn't wear the dress and I ditched the hairpiece though, so ultimately it was helpful.

@Lobsterquadrille2 I remember your thread, which is partly why things like this annoy me so much as I really felt for you when people were so mean when you'd only asked about your dress. (I am partly bald so no doubt people will now assume I am bitter and projecting now, but I like to think it's 100% feminist principles. I am a grumpy fucker today though to be fair )

I did it for a bit of fun, I haven’t used filters only a flash. It’s really not a big deal but there’s always someone that feels the need to kick off.

I’m 21 and got asked for I.D for an eyebrow wax and tint (16 or over) a few weeks ago but I often get told I look older

I don’t see the point of posting photos that have been tampered with. The replies are quite funny, tho.

OP, I’d say mid 50s. Haven’t looked at the earlier posts.

Some of the photographs are a bit blurred which softens the face and hides wrinkles. They might not be tampered with but they are blurred. In a way, the effect is the same.

For the PP guessing my age- I never asked anyone to, I posted my photo and stated my age as 48 and that I look my age. My point was that my skin is good as my mam religiously told me about good skincare (not expensive, just every day) and not smoking. I said if the OP wanted to stop time a bit she should cleanse and moisturise. No validation needed, I'm very happy in my skin and body ( even though it's gone up a size with each of my 3 DC).

It only took a few weeks for my skin to show an improvement, I had two lines between my eyebrows and bags under my eyes, they actually disappeared completely within 2-3 months. People may say that skin damage from smoking is irreversible, but that wasn't the case for me. One of the best things I ever did, giving up smoking, it's never too late.

I didn't realise that so many would take other people posting photos of themselves, so personally. Doesn't make sense!
Cycle you're a pro at not losing your shit and that's the quality I need for myself, at any age.
