I was insulted today and told I look much older than I am. Could I ask you to tell me how old you think?

I think the issue with your pic is that it looks like it's filtered, but subtly, rather than the obvious cutesy filters that the OP used. I'm not doubting that you look your age or younger in real life, but the effects of gravity are visible enough on that pic - combined with what looks like a smoothing filter - that I'd have assumed you were in your mid/late 40s. But if your photo had looked more natural, I'd probably have guessed a bit younger.

The picture was taken on a train and I used a light filter on Snapchat but that’s it, photos aren’t always good, I think on a good day I look 35 in real life and on a bad day 40 but I know that I don’t look older than 40 in real life, I am not too disappointed to look 40 as I am 38 but the majority of people in my life say I’m 32-33, then I’ll get the odd person that will really flatter and say late 20s but we all see different things!

I saw your pic and thought you looked around the same age as my 20 year old son. And then read your comment about someone saying that you looked 19, so, yeah, you do look young.

It's the smoking. As soon as you posted the unfiltered picture you could tell instantly that you're a smoker. It's the lines around the mouth.

I don't think you look in your 60's though. That man was a dick.

Give up smoking and invest in some good moisturizers for your skin to try and counteract what smoking has done.

Who really cares how old we all look? It's only a bit of fun. We are way more than the wrapper which houses us, so fuck it!

If you are wanting to get some face creams etc I would recommend the aldi range. I bought some recently and was impressed. I was reading about some of their other products they sometimes sell and they sound good. I didn't get the most expensive creams as they were out of stock but are meant to be similar to a cream that sells for hundreds and alid one is about 7 pound.
I am 33 and trying to improve my skin as it is dry and I have bags from lack of sleep. I look older when my skin is dryer. I have also just bought some vitamins for skin hair and nails so would be worth you giving them a go as well.
You dont look bad but a bit older.

It took me ages to find one without a filter and I’m not taking one of me now as I’ve not slept and look like shit obviously!

It’s weird seeing pics of folk on social media because you converse with people that are strangers and then when they post their pics then you think that you didn’t imagine them to look that way iyswim.

I also think some of the comments on here are a bit much. To the posters saying pack in sun worshipping or the OPs ‘unhealthy diet’ you know nothing about her life. I get that it’s risky putting your photo up for comment but that doesn’t mean it’s fine to make such assumptions about how she lives her life. To all the posters saying they’re much older but look ‘much younger’ than the OP isn’t that a bit subjective? No accompanying picture so we can all judge you is there? Utterly meaningless and unpleasant.
