It's always so difficult to guess a person's age from their appearance! Some people age more quickly than others. OP looks to be my generation, about my age or maybe a few years older than me. So, roughly age 65. But it's hard to tell. She could be a very young-looking 72 or an older-looking 45.

It's not about looking "you actual age" though, is it? It's about being told you look oh so very much younger. Because youth is still prized for women.

Also, we've had how old women actually look by TV and film - where women over thirty have all had surgery and post production work done to make them appear in a sort of misty "mid thirties but in a hot way" eternal holding pattern. So we've lost sight of ways in which fifty can be attractive and compelling.

55, give or take a year. Maybe early 60's and you think you look youthful for your age.

@Cyclelover apologies I didnt RTFT because I didnt want to be influenced by what others said but now I have I see that you said your age ages ago. I wouldnt worry too much by people saying that you look older as it is all relative. I guessed 58-60 based on my own mother and how she looks - she looks to have fewer lines but I figured perhaps you were a smoker and she isn't. Also my DH is 42 so I used him as a comparator too. Neither my mother nor my DH smoke and they very rarely drink. Both seem to look young for their age compared to a lot of people who tell me their age so I think perhaps using them as markers as I did in hindsight wasn't fair. A friend who is a smoker and drinker looks around the same as you and she is 40.

I wouldnt be concerned unless you want to do something about it yourself. If so, the absolute best thing to do would be to stop smoking. You are lovely and slim, have a nice smile and eyes. I read that you were considering going darker - I think a lovely chocolate brunette colour would suit you and make your eyes pop x

Agree that youth is prized in society. But most people look about their real age give or take 5 years. Its actually very rare for someone to legit look 15 years younger than they are. Also, people keep mentioning wrinkles, but its not just wrinkles that age a person, its also jowls and facial sagging and volume loss etc Ive seen 80 year olds with barely any wrinkles but you can still tell they are 80! Your face changes as you age and its silly to say you dont look different at 20 as you do at 50. Of course you will do.
