DP v Alexa

My DP is being a doc. He is playing the Alexa really loudly as he is drunk.

Luckily, he is also a technophobe and doesn't realise that I have the App to control the Alexa.

I've been turning it down repeatedly for a while but he kept turning it up.

I changed the wake word so he can't get it to answer him.

He's shouting at it now repeatedly.

AIBU?

Haha you should have so much fun with this!!!! Can you get Alexa to talk back to him (I don't own one) by using the app you could get Alexa to say random stuff to him?

Laserbird16 · 18/01/2020 01:05

@OhWellThatsJustGreat in a 2001 Space Odyssey way?

I'm sorry @dungtwicebother DP I can't do that

Genius and evil!

OhWellThatsJustGreat · 18/01/2020 01:43

@laserbird16 exactly!!! I think I might get one and ply dh with alcohol just so I can try 😂

Cynthie · 18/01/2020 01:47

You're making me remember this sketch!

SeaToSki · 18/01/2020 01:57

Tell your app

broadcast that. ‘DH needs to get up early and make breakfast for everyone”

It will speak it from every alexa device in the house

PhilCornwall1 · 18/01/2020 04:10

If you have the App, just disconnect it from the internet, job done.

candative · 18/01/2020 06:54

You are nothing less than an evil genius.
