She’s talking about The Welkin on Front Row, Radio 4.

(Is this too niche? Hope not.)

A play about someone refusing to answer the door sounds fucking tragic tbh

DianaT1969 · 17/01/2020 19:46

A play about -
People who hate their mother in law,
interspersed with parking disputes, irritation at visitors using the upstairs bathroom to take a dump, featuring children with unusual, but classic names. In the climax scene she gets all her ducks in a row and corrects the autocue person on their shoddy grammar.

Does it involve someone using a toilet brush as a murder weapon, then dissolving the body in a vat of zoflora?

Play sounds interesting with Maxine Peak, but in London?

It has to be better that the dross that was on today.

Gay couple. Visit ones parents and take cake. Twice.

SurpriseSparDay · 17/01/2020 20:06

It might tour?

It was just so amazing that someone with a public profile acknowledged that MN has something to offer ...

The final scene is a deserted stage, with the lights gradually fading...
A disembodied calls “I knew all along that she was a troll”....

PhoenixMama · 17/01/2020 20:30

I write as well and always use Mumsnet for inspiration. Have for years... And mentioned it on Women's hour about 6 years ago...

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/01/2020 20:47

I heard this too.

Others on the programme were all "Mumsnet? But that's just, you know, mums"

And she said how MN is a huge collection of women from the UK and many other countries, from all sorts of backgrounds/socio-economic groups. She was great.

Wish I knew who she is on here Grin

Melroses · 17/01/2020 21:06

She was great

Very lively personality - made me smile Grin.

I really want to see the play now. In spite of the large speculum Shock
