A host has cancelled my stay because she doesn't have a cot! My daughter is 8. Is this right? She says she can't host children now because she has no cot.

Sounds like an excuse to je. But I guess she doesn't want to host for some reason or other. Can you find an alternative?

EduCated · 15/01/2020 10:28

Have you clarified that your daughter is 8?

What’s the bed set-up? Is she using cot to mean pull out/camp bed?

JosefKeller · 15/01/2020 10:40

sounds like a poor excuse, but clarify with her.
It seems that she doesn't want children at all, but worth asking if you liked the booking.

Sexnotgender · 15/01/2020 10:42

That’s crazy.

Speak to Airbnb directly.

AnnaBegins · 15/01/2020 13:07

Airbnb help is awesome if you speak to them directly. If prices have now gone up for similar properties they may contribute towards the increase.

GreatestShowUnicorn · 15/01/2020 14:13

Yes accepted the booking in which I said it was for myself and my daughter I've now clarified her age.

Are they American by any chance - they refer to kids beds as cots?

SenecaFalls · 16/01/2020 00:05

In American English a "cot" is a narrow portable bed that could be used by an adult or child. Americans call a baby/toddler bed with sides a "crib."
