YANBU as long as you are prepared to carry it through...

, get those tongs ready and rush off to purchase charcoal...

charliecat · 29/08/2007 21:02

Oh I will follow it through. We have one monkey with only 1 leg after it was amputated when dd1 refused to go back to bed one night....I do follow through!

flowerybeanbag · 29/08/2007 21:32

PMSL at one-legged monkey, that's brilliant!

coleyboy · 29/08/2007 21:36

Not unreasonable at all. Infact I think it's very inventive!!

When I was little my pride and joy was my Girls World. One day my mum asked me to tidy my bedroom and made a point of telling me not to leave my Girls World laying around, cos if I did she would throw it out.

Well, I didn't tidy it away and lo and behold it was chucked in the bin and taken away by the dustman.

Was I gutted - oh yes, beyond belief.
Did I leave toys laying around again - hell no!!

YANBU!!! DH threatened to give DS's favourite tellytubby (Po, if you are interested!) to the binmen so that they would strap it to the radiator grille of their truck!

UnquietDad · 29/08/2007 21:40

I'm very impressed at you people who have the steely resolve to go through with these things.

We have got as far as putting Cyberman in the black bin-liner. He was liberated.

FlameBatfink · 29/08/2007 21:40

and I thought I was mean for binning crayons!

FlameChick: NO! Flameboy, you DON'T draw on my man - not nice to draw on other people's drawing

Me: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING OF?! WHY HAVE YOU DRAWN ON THE TABLE?!!?

FlameChick: I didn't mummmy! It was Flameboy...

Flameboy:

Me: Where is the man he just drew over then?

FC:

Me: So the crayons go in the bin. You don't draw on furniture.

(As a side note... why does a 4 yr old who hasn't drawn on any furniture since the Oompa Loompa colouring incident at 2.5 start again now?!)

If the weather is good enough for a BBQ, why not!

Chirpygirl · 30/08/2007 14:08

YA only BU if you do it and don't take a pic so we can all see!

My mum did this with my favourite book, it got burnt as I had left it out in teh garden overnight, again, never mind the fact it was ruined anyway cos of the rain, I didn't leave stuff lying around!

charliecat · 30/08/2007 14:28

well you are only being unreasonable if you dont carry out your threat

whoops · 30/08/2007 14:52

That sounds a good threat I'm going to try it at bedtime

madamez · 30/08/2007 14:52

Well I remember being told that delibrately destroying other people's possessions, especially as a 'punishmnet' is domestic abuse.

andiem · 30/08/2007 14:58
