AIBU to cash in the free supermarket parking on ticket someone gave me!

I was at supermarket that charges for parking but takes £1 off your shopping bill - waiting for space - lovely old gent - in dog collar no less so cleric also - offers me his ticket with 40 mins on plus parking coupon attached - I cashed it! Felt so wrong with him being religious gent and all!
YABU- I was totally out of order
YANBU - fair do’s - he was giving the ticket away anyway
footnote - I will pay it forward and give the money to someone more deserving than my grabby self!!

I'm sure he knew he was handing over the cash back coupon as well as the parking ticket, so I would say YANBU to have cashed it, especially as you are planning to pay it forward somehow.

He probably had parked there but not been in the supermarket or spend less than the minimum spend as my dad shops there and doesn't spend £10 so doesn't get the car park money off
