I really like Katie Morag, my DS is only 1 but he likes the songs in it.
I think the storylines are really nice. I love the Scottish islands too and it’s msking me want to move there! I’ve always fancied Orkney.

I quite like Molly and Mack, so I'm in no position to judge!

Shantotto · 13/01/2020 14:12

I love Katie Morag! Get the books it’s based on - the illustrations are beautiful!

crosspelican · 13/01/2020 14:12

I adored Sarah & Duck, Octonauts and - unusually for any normal human being, I think, Baby Jake.

That said, you get some top cartoons as they get older too - Avatar: The Last Airbender is FANTASTIC and the Dragon Prince is really good as well.

banannabreadforme · 13/01/2020 14:14

Molly and Mack rule! I will forever be grateful no one in the house wants to watch Bing anymore

Soubriquet · 13/01/2020 14:14

Sorry.

Nothing is better than Hey Dugee

AgentCooper · 13/01/2020 14:16

I’m Scottish so maybe find Katie Morag a bit.... much 😂 but I love Duggee and Maddie’s Do You Know

Shahlalala · 13/01/2020 14:19

Another Molly & Mack fan here. Totally get it. The scenery is lush in Katie Morag.

@banannabreadforme even the Bing music makes me shudder, although I try to channel my inner Flop instead of losing my shit.

Damntheman · 13/01/2020 14:19

Puffin Rock is my go to :D I just love it.

ambereeree · 13/01/2020 14:21

Love Katie Morag too. It has a lovely innocence and charm.

SmallPinkBear · 13/01/2020 14:23

It is no Hey Duggee! And I love the Octonauts theme tune Grin

SpongeCake23 · 13/01/2020 14:23

It’s definitely the sort of tv show I’d have watched as a child Smile

I have a bit of a soft spot for topsy and Tim.

That bing bunny though 🤦‍♀️ Never seen anything more moany and irritating.

joffreyscoffees · 13/01/2020 14:29

Hey Duggee is one of the best things ever produced.

MotherWol · 13/01/2020 14:29

Katie Morag's excellent. The characterisation's really gentle, but deft - I like how Granny Mainland's a bit fur coat-no knickers compared to Granny Island, and the way the storyline deals with Uncle Matthew, who's maybe living with depression/anxiety, in a way that's appropriate for young children to understand.

Biancadelrioisback · 13/01/2020 14:32

Andy's dinosaur adventures is one of my favs

Wishiwasincornwall · 13/01/2020 14:35

Wait until they get older and transition to CBBC, some of it is great viewing. Or atleast it was a few years ago when my children were interested. I miss shows like Wolfblood, Young Dracula and Rocket's island.

PsychosonicCindy · 13/01/2020 14:38

I love Sarah & Duck, Abney & Teal and Moon & Me best (loads of cbeebies programmes in pairs!!)
Molly & Mack is good but no-one in my house can say "I've had an idea.." in a conversation without it turning into the full song!

Littlecaf · 13/01/2020 14:38

I have learnt so much from Maddie. I had no idea how pencils or yoghurt is made!

larry55 · 13/01/2020 14:45

I have watched children’s tv for years as I have a large age gap between youngest and eldest and now look after dgs and I have to say that I hate Bing as he is the most whiney spoilt character on tv but dgs absolutely loves him. Fortunately he believes me when I tell him Bing doesn’t work on my main tv!

Undercoverworker06 · 13/01/2020 14:53

larry55 Peppa pig doesn't work on my tv, funnily enough! I love Baby Club, my grandson loves it too. I'm quite an expert on cbeebies, could be my specialist Mastermind subject.

Urkiddingright · 13/01/2020 14:57

I used to like watching it too, I secretly enjoyed Topsy and Tim as well. My eldest three are past CBeebies age and youngest is only one so we haven’t moved past Hey Duggee as yet Grin.

Nanny0gg · 13/01/2020 15:03

You don't need to move past Hey Duggee ever!

I've been known to watch it when no DGC around... Blush

Peanutbutteryogurt · 13/01/2020 15:04

I love hey duggee and DD loves anything with Justin or Mr tumble. Glad it's not just me who hates bing, whiny little shit.

Peanutbutteryogurt · 13/01/2020 15:05

DP and I are both disappointed that DD seems to have lost interest in the night garden, we both love it.

HoneyBee03 · 13/01/2020 15:12

I cannot stand Katie Morag! Or Molly & Mack. And don't get me started on Topsy & Tim, they're such annoying kids. Thankfully DS doesn't seem to mind that we turn the TV off when they come on.
