Washer issues

So unfortunately our washing machine stopped working this morning. Thankfully we have great family and friends who have offered to use theres until we are sorted.

But me and my partner are having the debate of what do we buy.
Our dryer also broke before christmas, i was secretly glad as i do not trust them i would much rather air clothes then throw them in a dryer. I read way too much especially after the whole issue with dryers setting on fire. They are great for being in a rush but other then that i can gladly live without one. My partner on the other hand really wants a new dryer and he has said why dont we get a washer/dryer.

So please anyone and everyone can you please point me in the right direction are washer/dryers any good? Thanks in advance x

You might want to try Which? rather than AIBU...

Which? is expensive unless you can get a trial subscription - Good Housekeeping website often has good reviews of white and kitchen goods.

If you have the space for separates always get separate appliances. I have a washer dryer as I have no space. It's a Bosch one but no washer dryers are brilliant. You cannot dry a full load in a washer dryer. It takes double the time to do the washing as you can only wash or dry.

Get separates you will regret getting a washer dryer.
