I was quite ill with proper, full on flu just after Xmas. I caught it from someone's kids on Xmas day (after they had tried to hide the fact of the child's illness so I walked right into that). I have always been careful and successfully avoided catching viruses by staying away from sick people at Xmas.
Anyway, started getting ill on the 27th and by the 30th Dec had full blown flu. I had about a week of hardly any sleep and very little food due to the horrendous coughing and sore throat. The worst symptoms have gone and I have been gradually recovering my sense of taste and smell. I still have a slight sore throat and awful soreness/cracks in the corners of my mouth.
However, the illness has really taken it out of me and I don't feel like doing much apart from sitting down. I have no energy or motivation and this is worrying as I am self employed. I can truthfully say I have never felt so ill before as an adult and I never realized true flu was this bad. As I live alone, I had to look after myself. In some ways I am fortunate as I know of at least 2 people who were hospitalised with this particular virus.
Is there anything I can do to get my mojo back or is it just a slow recovery?
If you too are ill/have been ill, you have my sympathies!
