I know there’s probably far too many threads on this, I’ve never been able to work the advanced search bit so I can’t see them all.

I’ve just listened to Bryony Gordon’s podcast with Harry which is from April 2017 so the subject is in my head, but my main thought is why is the media totally laying Meghan as the driver of this. We don’t know, so why can’t they call is Sussexit, I’m thinking it’s easier to say than Megxit.

Good luck to them and each and everyone one of us getting through each day the best we can.

Because Megxit rhymes with Brexit?
Because Sussexit is a mouthful and implies that the entire county of Sussex is leaving the UK which seems unlikely.

No need to, I've just counted 5 separate threads on the first 2 pages.

Megxit is a twitter hashtag used by a load of vile, Meghan haters and has been for months/years.

Not sure what your AIBU is.
FWIW I think YANBU - we have to get through days as best we can - but YABU if you think that by prioritising that people can screw over friends, family and people who pay them.
YANBU if you think that people who blame one half of a couple are being unfair - but usually one half is more dominant.
YABU to want to call it Sussexit since all of Sussex is still here. (And anyway not everyone in the county was happy about the title being bestowed on the couple when they haven't even been there)

Sussexit is definitely not easier to say than Megxit. For one thing you need to actively mispronounce the end of Sussex to make it work
