Me and my husband split a few weeks ago, I have my first weekend ever of not having 3 toddlers with me and I don't know what to do. None of my friends are free this weekend and I'm not at my home so can't do housework...
I can't remember life before kids!

Ooh! PJs and hot water bottle under a blanket on the sofa in front of the TV :)

Where are you if you’re not at home? Somewhere you can relax/eat lovely food/watch tv/read?

Batch cook, but I enjoy cooking when I have no toddlers under my feet

Read
Swim
Shop in peace
Sleep
Watch tv
Bake a cake without anyone wanting to 'help'
Go the hairdressers
Get nails done

Wow...three toddlers..you deserve a medal!

Be a tourist, museum or gallery, wander round the shops, go to the cinema.
Have a lovely time!

Netflix on the sofa. Bliss

I remember my first one. I was going to do so much - housework, clothes shopping, watch TV or even go for a solo cinema trip.
He picked them up at 10am, I had a long, uninterrupted shower, lay on my bed for five minutes before getting dressed..... and woke up at 5pm to the doorbell ringing bringing them home 😂

I’d go out somewhere to check out shops, museums or galleries. Get some nice lunch. Mooch around. Go home and have nice snacks and watch a decent boxset.
Lots of sleep.

Ooh I have to admit I would love this! A lay in followed by a leisurely breakfast sat in bed with a book, then out to watch something at the cinema. Eat a late lunch, go shopping without a child dangling off me.

Browse shops, maybe head to the library to pick up some books. A nice walk.

I’d pick up something really delicious for tea plus some wine, head home for a nice night in my Pjs watching a film or reading.

What are we voting on here?

Ghostoast · 10/01/2020 20:43

@Bluewavescrashing would love to have sex Hahaha! I wouldn't even know how to find anyone to have sex with!
These are such good ideas. I think I'll lay in tomorrow, go to the shopping centre and go for lunch, then lay in and do nothing Sunday? Just chill? I'm excited!
