our local council says on the website, they will take your christmas wrapping paper in the recycling, as long as there is no glitter.

however didnt i read before christmas about specifically buying recyclable wrapping paper, or brown paper and string?

Our local council will not take any wrapping paper glitter or not in the recycling.

Emmelina · 10/01/2020 21:40

Our council’s guidelines were no glitter, and when scrunched into a ball it doesn’t ‘bounce back’, so doesn’t open up again basically.

Is it not obvious that any wrapping paper that is, well, paper will be recyclable? IME it's the cheaper stuff that's recyclable because there's no foil, glitter etc, it's just printed paper.
