Paul Mitchell -- is it just me or does anyone else find they stop working?

First world problem here but indulge me:

I've found this with loads of their product lines: they work beautifully for about 3-4 months and then abruptly start to make your roots super greasy (and impossible to dry in under about an hour and a half) and the ends mega dry. Have tried the orange range which is meant to be for damaged hair and then switched to Shampoo One which is meant to be for everyday use and they have both gone the same way.

I colour my hair anyway so its a bit knackered but these products seem to exacerbate the combination hair thing to the point where its extreme: massively greasy at the roots - like it literally won't dry -- and then frizzy as fuck on the ends.

Anyone got any hair hacks?

I’ve been using the same shampoo and conditioner for many years (L’Oreal Professional), still the same effect since the first time I used it.

The only shampoo and conditioner I am tempted by is Olaplex, but I have 1 litre of LP to finish first.
