Now let me start by saying this isn’t a stealth boost - I’m average looking and I’m ok with that!
I work with a beautiful young woman who is quite simply stunning. So much so people will stop talking as she enters a room, do anything for her etc. She’s a really lovely person and I think she’s great. She’s well liked in my (large) workplace and naturally a lot of people talk about her, but usually with a negative slang i.e ‘she’s beautiful but oh my god she knows it!’ or ‘but she’s so vein etc’. I agree that this is the case but - isn’t that ok?! Aibu? Surely it’s ok for her to realise that yes, she is attractive? Should she have to try and hide that just because others are offended, perhaps jealous etc? I don’t think so.
An attractive person can still be nice, friendly, kind whilst acknowledging that yes they are attractive.
This lady is just an example - I’ve noticed in other cases as well that some people don’t seem to warm to people who know they are pretty, handsome etc.
