To bath DC twice a day?

DC is almost 2.5...

He has a bath every night as part of his bedtime routine. It winds him down etc. He loves a bath.

He gets in the bath with me in the morning or comes into my shower if I'm in there instead. So, he's having a bath/shower twice a day.

AIBU to be doing this? He has the best skin ever and has never had a patch of dry skin before. He's well moisturised etc.

Whenever this is mentioned in passing, people look at me with shock! Not sure why...

I'm sure this won't continue into his school years when he becomes interested in playing and would rather play whilst I'm in the bathroom Grin

very similar thread going on www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3791122-wibu-to-stop-washing-my-kids here, hopefully will answer your question x

if He’s happy and healthy, I wouldn’t be worry what others think or believe.

Pipandmum · 09/01/2020 20:32

It's fine but would bother me like heck - I'd want some me time without a kid hanging about! I don't think its hurting his skin if that's what concerns you.

ALLMYSmellySocks · 09/01/2020 20:34

YANBU. As long as it's not drying his skin out (you'd be able to tell if it was) I'd crack on. It would be wasteful to actually run him two baths a day but if you're in it anyway why not let him jump in?

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 09/01/2020 20:36

If his skin is healthy then its not a worry
