Just a couple of weekends I was sat on a friends sofa and I said the following:
The thing is with a country as divided as ours..there is only one thing you can do to bring it together and that is have a bigger 'evil' that everyone comes together to defend against. I don't want a war. But if I was a complete crackpot megalmeniac leader that is exactly what I would manufacture.
So it seems interesting to me that this appears to be what is happening.
