To still think i could be pregnant after having a strange period or do i need a reality slap!

Hi all. posting for traffic.

Ok so slowly losing it. Been ttc for around 18 months with not even a hint at a bfp. 1 blocked fallopian tube and waiting on further tests.

I have very irregular cycles but they seemed to have settled down to between 29-32 days the last 4/5 months. sometimes light, sometimes heavy but always atleast 2 days of brown spotting beforehand (never later than 11 days after ovulation).
Until this month, where I didn't get a static smiley until CD26, had all the symptoms of ovulation (all be it, on the blocked side). then nothing for 13 days, so I took a test BFN. CD14, I then had a tiny bit of brown spotting on day 1, day 2 darker red heavy-ish spotting then day 3 minimal brown spotting. Now the light and short isn't that unusual for me but still can't get out of my head that it was that little later with only 1 day of spotting before the red.

Please give me a reality slap because I am losing my mind and literally turning into a ttc headcase!!

I'd say do a test, if only to put your mind at ease.

If you're having unprotected sex then the answer is always yes, you could be pregnant. The only way to know is to take a test.

I tested CD13, the day before the spotting. It's probably another half !arsed period messing with me!

Usual/average cycles women get their period 14days after ovulation (static smile).. So by that working the test you took was 1 day before period would be due. Not all tests work before a period is late.

And if the spotting was implantation then it's possible you won't get hcg in your system until it's implanted anyway.

What day past that smiley test are you now?

I would still test. I was TTC for over a year and got a funny period...was like first day spotting, red but light, which went on for a day, turned brown then stopped. I tested because it was lighter than usual/just not normal and it was positive!!!

Do a test. Or an OPK if you haven't got one, if you get a static smiley on that, definitely buy a test - opks will turn positive if your pregnant.

I think it was a period. I had brown spotting for about 3 days after that 1 day of light bleeding which was red. I did a CB ov test and it was negative. I’ve ordered some cheapy preg tests off amazon so may do one to be sure but I’m not to excited. My periods are so irregular and often light. It was just so being that few days later that threw me.

This ttc is such a head 🤬
