Recently joined mumsnet and noticed that I'm halfway thru reading some hilarious threads with plenty of drama and opinions and they get deleted!!! Noooo stop it I need to read the end ! And see the outcome 😂😂 yes this is just a joking AIBU thread but it is a shame when they get deleted. I love a good old honest blunt opinion of others..got to love these random discussions and a lot of the threads have me in stitches. STOP DELETING THEM !!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

littlepaddypaws · 08/01/2020 16:39

aibu is supportive but it is known for straight talking and bun fights Grin some threads get pulled because they are trolls [made up] others get too personal and posters can ask for them to be removed.
aibu is brilliant though, welcome to the club !

PurpleDaisies · 08/01/2020 16:42

Are you sponsored by the 😂 emoticon?

iklboo · 08/01/2020 16:46

Most of the ones deleted are by trolls. That is, completely made up.

Jezzballs2000 · 08/01/2020 16:46

I agree! I’m newish and it’s pretty much the only place I lurk. My fave so far was prob the woman in the office who kept having her fizzy KA drink stolen by a pregnant colleague and by the end everyone was sure she was making up the pregnancy (and subsequent issues) to freeload. I never saw the final resolution. Anyone know?

A 😂 for good measure!

SquareAsABlock · 08/01/2020 16:47

Are you ok hun? Maybe step away from the nitrous oxide.

Bollocks threads shouldn't be left up because people haven't had a chance to buy their copy of Take A Break this week and need some other drama to fill up their need for 'a laugh'.

xSARCASMandRUMx · 08/01/2020 16:53

@SqaureAsABlock ahhh that nitrous oxide is going down a treat my darling, maybe try some for yourself. Or at least pull that stick out of you bum. I guess I better delete this thread as you have disagreed with me

If people want to post daft drama that belongs on the JK show then why not have a laugh at the arguments that go on in the posts.

See I much prefer to look at it from a slightly different angle and go for these 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SquareAsABlock · 08/01/2020 17:05

If people want to post daft drama that belongs on the JK show then why not have a laugh at the arguments that go on in the posts.

Watching JK or following 'drama threads' on here 'for the lols' is pretty grim. Whatever floats your boat though, but stop encouraging bullshit posts for your own amusement. There's enough trolling around without people begging for more, and those who aren't making things up are generally pretty desperate to get advice and are not doing so for your entertainment.

PortiaCastis · 08/01/2020 17:10

Threads get deleted for being works of fiction i.e. the product of a bored hairy handed person or in some cases because they are outing or a bunfight.

ilovesooty · 08/01/2020 17:12

Well the most recently deleted one this afternoon was only going to be more goady bollocks from the OP if it had stayed up i suppose.

BeatriceTheBeast · 08/01/2020 17:14

🙄🐷🧘‍♀️😈🖕😁😱❤🤦‍♀️👋😂😉❤👋🧘‍♀️😷🐷🤔🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😷🐷🤔

Know what I mean?

lovemenorca · 08/01/2020 17:16

This thread warrants deleting IMO - for pure pointless

GreytExpectations · 08/01/2020 17:21

Op, most the deleted ones a trolls which means they are fake threads. Those should be deleted as the drama you are following is all made up bullshit. But I agree that the ones that seem real are a good laugh. I wish mumsnet would stop deleting ones where the OP doesn't like the response and suggesting they had some "privacy concerns" 🙄

PurpleDaisies · 08/01/2020 17:22

This thread warrants deleting IMO - for pure pointlessness

If that were the criteria for deletion, half the site would go!

WaterOffADucksCrack · 08/01/2020 17:41

I do think some posters use the "too outing" line to get their own thread pulled when people disagree with them. But then some people are so nasty and come to stick the boot in that the ops mental health may be negatively affected.

Also, I understand deleting made up threads if they're offensive or about upsetting topics. But some are just fun and genuinely funny and I think if it's not harming anyone can't we just keep it?! As I do think there are some really witty posters on mumsnet.

littlepaddypaws · 08/01/2020 17:58

water totally agree, perhaps that's what op was getting at, the witty ones making her laugh. there are some judgy people on here thinking the worst. op i say again, welcome to aibu.

user32564567 · 08/01/2020 18:27

orangeblossomdreams · 08/01/2020 18:35

OhMeows · 08/01/2020 18:39

🤮🤮🤮🤮

imnottoofussed · 08/01/2020 18:44

I'll be honest I read Mumsnet like I do a magazine or a book 😂

Sparklingbrook · 08/01/2020 19:43

Hilarious thread with plenty of drama=troll.

iklboo · 08/01/2020 20:01

Sorry, you can't delete the thread. MN has to do it for you and there has to be good reason (eg not just because people don't agree with you). Have fun looking round the boards though. There's some crackers out there Smile

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 08/01/2020 20:15

CF = troll
3 threads of pointless drama = troll
