To be annoyed when I'm asked to "show me the bump."

No thank you! I don't want to.

Exes mum asked me to show her my mum when she dropped DS off, and I may be hormonal but I just wanted to punch her lol.

I just politely said "I'm not showing yet." Even thought I am a bit, but had a dressing gown on.

Anyone else get annoyed?

No. Is a complete sentence.

Did you mean to be so rude?
Is a great riposte.

Pipandmum · 07/01/2020 23:31

No one, not my mother, not my mil, not my best friend, no one, other than a midwife, ever asked me any such thing. Totally rude.

She is just trying to look interested. It is just small talk. I doubt she cares about whether you are showing. It's just a way of trying to show an interest.
