WIBU to knock on for a parcel at 8.30pm?

After reading the 'best purchases' thread and having another chilly winter in my house, I have ordered a big heated blanket.

I am so excited about this but the amazon guy dropped it with my neighbour instead of in my porch as requested. I rang the bell at 6PM and 7:30pm. Lights are on but nobody has answered. Would 8:30 be too late to try again? They are elderly but pretty sprightly. I really cant wait to wrap up in the blanket!

I think before and up to 9pm is definitely fine, especially as you know they don’t have young children. I would knock loudly and give time to get to the door, and calling just a few minutes before 8:30/9:00 so you’re in the ad break of most TV shows is a very good idea!

Before 9 PM is fine, especially if lights are on.

Had someone banging on my door at 11:30 PM last month looking for their parcel! Told the delivery guys I won't take anymore in for them...

Ohh yess! I dropped a note through and the lovely lady gave me a call straight away (they must just not like answering the door after dark). So I have my blanket tonight Grin just plugging it in now

@Proudownerofplants

Well, the figures (and replies on here) show that it's not a good idea to knock at half eight, but tbh I wouldn't mind. Maybe half nine is pushing it, but half eight? Not late. But I guess if they have little kiddies?

Hmm, yeah I would probably leave it.

OH SORRY. Cross post! Grin

Glad you got your blanket! Smile
