Party food dinner night

Dinner tonight in the Yarboo house will be the party food that did not get served because I was distracted by drinking bubbly

I may manage to pull together a salad to go with the duck spring rolls and other assorted offerings from M&S, but other than that it is a feast of little nutritional value!

Does anyone else have this annual event?

Sounds great! We're not quite doing that but I've rounded up a lot of stuff from the fridge that needs using up and it's just a matter of deciding how to assemble them. Love this kind of thing once in a way!

All the other Christmas leftovers have gone, although some are in cryogenic suspension waiting for their moment some busy evening in the next few weeks when they will be a godsend.

We often do it on the 27th Dec - but we were being fed elsewhere almost every day of the holidays so didn't have enough leftovers!

I’m retired now but when I was working we always used to have ‘the excess of Christmas’ once we all returned after the event
Everyone would bring in their extra bits and we had picnic lunches and snacks for days on end

DP and I do this about once a month. We go to Iceland and get tons of party food and scoff it whilst watching a box set. We know how to live!
