Now that I have your attention ...
Any good free scandi noir type series or film on Amazon prime that you'd recommend?
Thanks

Well played, BuzzLife , well played.

Nothing to offer though! Grin

Trewser · 02/01/2020 23:58

Trapped.

Lockheart · 02/01/2020 23:58

There's a telly addicts forum on here that might have what you're looking for.

Trewser · 02/01/2020 23:59

Honestly, Trapped. Look no further. It's brilliant, Icelandic and free on Prime

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2020 00:00

I had my finger hovering over the report button there Grin

I've no recommendations but this is a handy placemark as I like that genre.

1Morewineplease · 03/01/2020 00:01

Hear, Hear to ‘Trapped!’ Brilliant.

Redshoeblueshoe · 03/01/2020 00:01

I immediately thought of Jo Nesbo, but the adaptations of his books are dire, so just read his books Grin

Tartyflette · 03/01/2020 00:03

There is a new one starting soon but I think it will b on mainstream TV.
I have seen a couple of trailers and it seems to be about an American serial killer who has relocated to um... Norway?Sweden? Somewhere Scandi-looking.
It sounded interesting.

BuzzLife · 03/01/2020 00:04

I've already seen Trapped .. very good.
Enjoying the series on BBC at the moment called Wisting but only 2 episodes available.

OP posts:
BuzzLife · 03/01/2020 00:04

Yes Tarty, that's Wisting.

BuzzLife · 03/01/2020 11:03

Yay, I didn't realise there's a second series of Trapped that I haven't seen.
Happy days.

The Germany-Austria remake of the Bridge (3rd version after The Bridge and The Tunnel) is both very snowy and bloody. I loved it. It is called Der Pass.

PrincessScarlett · 03/01/2020 11:08

Oh OP, I thought you were referring to the Kill Bill scene with Lucy Liu's character meeting her end!

BuzzLife · 03/01/2020 11:52

Der Pass looks good but unfortunately is not free on prime.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 03/01/2020 11:54

It brought to mind the scene from Fargo Grin
I've yet to watch the series, is that snowy?!

midnightmisssuki · 03/01/2020 11:55

The Witcher ☺️. Henry Cavill. You’re welcome.

Redshoeblueshoe · 03/01/2020 11:56

Very snowy Gareth

FNuts · 03/01/2020 12:22

Not particularly the thing you're looking for, but 6 seasons of Vikings on prime. Plenty of blood, plenty of snow

glueandstick · 03/01/2020 13:04

Re-watch the killing.

Or the one based in Svalbard with the mammoth plague.

God I love Scandi noir.

refraction · 03/01/2020 13:35

The witcher definitely had snow and blood in a scene I just watched it.

Have you tried ?
Frozen dead
La mante
Cardinal
Border town
The chalet
Bitter daisies
The Break

MonaLisaDoesntSmile · 03/01/2020 13:36

You interested in French ones? Netflix has La Mante, and BBC used to have Frozen Bodies I think, both really good!

MidsomerMum · 03/01/2020 13:47

The 100 Code - don’t think it’s free anywhere though. No snow, but it is set in Stockholm. Very dark, very well thought out characters.

loobyloo1234 · 03/01/2020 14:07

Have you seen Darkness: Those Who Kill OP? Was on BBC not so long ago

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 03/01/2020 14:15

Thanks Redshoeblueshoe

Is it also bloody to for the requirements of this thread? 😂

Oneborneverydecade · 03/01/2020 14:19

No snow and not on Prime but DH and I recently enjoyed Hard Sun, by the writers of Luther. Apologies as its definitely not Scandi Noir
