To spend a lot of money on a hair cut

I am in desperate need of a hair cut. I haven’t had one in over a year and my hair is a mess. I am due to start a new job in two weeks and want to go in looking professional and smart. Not the fat slob that I look like at the moment. My mum gave me a little bit of money for Xmas so I have booked an appointment at a local salon. My only worry is that a simple cut and blow dry is £50 :o that’s a lot of money for me but I can afford it. I never spend money on myself. AIBU to spend so much on a hair cut?

Go for it. You’ll feel better about yourself if you like your hair. Make sure you are happy that the hairdresser is going to do exactly what you want. Nothing worse than being disappointed when it is done.

100% do it! Make sure you make time for yourself this year, don't wait for a reason e.g. a new job!
Good Luck!

That hair cut will make you feel more confident, which in turn may help you get the job. I never used to spend much money on my hair because I didn’t feel ‘worthy’ - now I spend £80 per month getting a decent colour, and my confidence/career has improved dramatically. Maybe coincidence, but it makes me feel good :-)

You should ABSOLUTELY do this for yourself. A great hair cut will make you feel fabulous when you start your new job. You deserve it!

Do it! Will be worth it. I splurged I think 60 or 70 when I got my hair cut short and it was my absolute favourite hairstyle in the universe. Would still do it now if I could afford it.

Do it! Start the new job feeling great!

Thank you all! I will do it. I like my hair when it is cut and styled properly but at the moment it is a wild mess.

Do it you'll feel amazing afterwards just the confidence booster you need to start a new job.

Do it! I have curly hair and once booked a cut with a specialist curly hair stylist in Birmingham. I live in south London. I had a lovely day out and a great haircut to show for it!
