I already know the answer to this really, because I either only display these items when my aunt visits, OR I look like the craziest narcissist this side of “I love myself town”.

My aunt is a beautiful and generous woman, and I love her. She buys me lots of thoughtful gifts at Christmas because she loves to do it, and I am grateful. She also loves to spend time making sure her gifts are personal, but MN, OH MN, this year has been spectacular....

I am 40 years old, I live with my DS who is 9. And this year my aunt has gone onto my Facebook, specifically my profile pictures and for Christmas I got the following....

1. A full length canvas print of me posing in a dress.
2. A mug with my face on.
3. A travel mug with my face on.
4. not one, BUT TWO cushions each of a close up OF MY FACE.
5. A FULL CALENDER EACH MONTH WITH A DIFFERENT PICTURE OF MY OWN FACE!

Now, who, IN THEIR RIGHT MIND HAS THEIR OWN FACE ON CUSHIONS! IMAGINE WHAT VISITORS WOULD THINK!

It has made me laugh so much, but was not in any way a joke....ahhhhhh families eh?

Darling Iggy, please don’t be so modest! I got you these items to remind you of your beauty, my lovely niece. There’s no need to hide them.

Your friends on here are so nice! I love them all too. And they’ve given me some fantastic ideas for your birthday!

Do you have a stalker? If so he might be interested in buying it all off you and then you spend the money on something you really want.

This is brilliant and I honestly laughed so hard (exactly what I needed!).

Your lovely aunt sounds just like my mum. My brothers and I all have cushions with our faces on (I may have misplaced mine 🤷🏼‍♀️), and The G olden Child has an extra cushion that she had made and gave to him the night before his wedding. She's bonkers but in a hilarious way!

To be honest, it's pretty good that you have these things because who would be narcissistic to make them of yourself for yourself but if someone else does it for you, you have them but you can genuinely explain it as "my loveable aunt made them for me". Enjoy them

I think you should build a special altar to yourself and arrange all the items on them and have tea lights burning in front of them. You can leave offerings to yourself too like the temples they have outside buildings in Buddhist countries.

Now, OP, you must be very very careful on receiving guests, not to usher them through into the living room sofa, bedecked with the aforementioned cushions and say 'please, do sit on my face'.

That is very, very funny! I was given a gift by my daughter when she was young - it was a canvas with 12 photos of my face on it! Very sweet and thoughtful of her but same dilemma as you - I don't want to look at me and I doubt anyone else does either so I had to put it in my bedroom and look at it...
I managed to redecorate and hid it but had to face 'me' every day for a few years!!
