Personally the last decade has been crazy, I got divorced, then went you uni, had 2 babies, went no contact with family as it was toxic, learnt how to be a "grown up" and then met a guy 11 years younger who has ended up being amazing. Anyone else had a crazy 10 years? 😁

Cheesy as it sounds, I just hope people can be proud of keeping it together when you get repeatedly knocked down and get through it 😊

Parkheadparadise I cannot even begin to imagine how you dealt with that, but it sounds like you have been amazingly strong and I wish the best to you and your family.

Got divorced and went off the rails partying and drinking too much while keeping and miraculously delivering in a stressful career
But then as a result had a burn out/breakdown
Got back up from that, invested in therapy, rebuilt bridges with my mum (amazing), went NC with my abusive brother (even better) and developed my career further from a much more empowered place
Met DH
Had a baby few months of short of 40
Bought and sold properties ending up with one I really wanted

Most of all I created and fostered really strong and supportive friendships - I remember my first marriage being very enmeshed/codependent. I am so much stronger and independent now. It's wonderful. and DD is such a gift (naff as it sounds)
