Or itching powder, or something... to stop my bloody dh using my expensive shampoo as a bloody shower gel.

What shampoo is it? Maybe we can help you find a shower gel that smells similar.

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:23

Thanks all - I shall be hiding it from now on.

StealthNinjaMum · 29/12/2019 22:26

op what shampoo is it? My hair’s very frizzy at the moment.

neversleepagain · 29/12/2019 22:26

My 7 year old was washing her plastic farm animals with my Aesop hand wash last week Confused
I feel your frustration.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 29/12/2019 22:27

My husband used to use my nice shampoo as handwash. My husband is a farmer. This meant getting really lovely stuff like placenta or sheep shit all over the bottle as well as using huge amounts of the shampoo. This was despite the huge jar of Swarfega on the bathroom windowsill.

Now I use a solid shampoo and make him wash his manky hands under the garden tap.

chamenanged · 29/12/2019 22:27

Huge fan of someone who has their own bathroom, separate from their husband's, expressing their shock at the OP's Kerastase Grin

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:27

@PolPotNoodle It’s the Kerastise nutrive

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:29

@chamenanged Grin am surprised no one has suggested that we use separate en-suites yetWink

Excuse appalling spag - still on holiday mode and have had a few red wines

What you need to do is decant your shampoo into an empty very feminine looking hair removal bottle.

Remove your shampoo from the shower. I keep my shower gel in my wardrobe. If I leave it in the shower my teens would go through it in 2 bloody showers Hmm so I leave the cheap things out and hide my own things away.

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:40

@flouncyfanny am going to get dh to build one in the morning- the only problem being that he does his “hobby” on a Monday morning which may delay him. If he hasn’t knocked me up a wet room by New Year’s Day I may ltb Xmas Wink

Mlou32 · 29/12/2019 22:41

I'd tell him fine, use it as a body wash, but everytime it needs replaced, he has to give you the 20 quid or whatever to replace it. Or keep it in tour bedroom and take it back and forward to the shower when you need it.

ThunderboltandLightning · 29/12/2019 22:43

My DH was like this when we first got married. Said it was all the same. Showed him the price differential. He happily switched to the cheap stuff. Advantages of a tight husband!

On a separate note! Is the shampoo good? I have very dry and frizzy hair!

theresthepurpleline · 29/12/2019 22:48

Did you know that the Elvive for coloured hair (red bottle) and the Kerastase for coloured hair (red bottle) are made by the same company and list exactly the same ingredients. The Elvive is a lot cheaper.

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:48

I dare to point out this but he does have form... I had a ysl serum thingy (cost about £70)... he used the lot!

Tbf I didn’t like it much so was less bothered

TatianaLarina · 29/12/2019 22:49

My DH did this when I started having my hair highlighted. It stopped when I charged the bottles to his account. 😈

FoamingAtTheUterus · 29/12/2019 22:49

My OH does this..to top it all he hasn't got any pissing hair. He's bald as a damn coot. 😤😤😤

Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:51

@theresthepurpleline they’re actually all made by L’Oréal but it happens that the specific one really does work for my hair at the moment - I swap around depending on the state of my hair

OP posts:
Newbameforanewdecade · 29/12/2019 22:53

@PurpleBee39 yes it is- tbf I use the masque thing as well and find that I do have to change shampoo about every six months.

If you have the spare cash - what really works is a Brazilian blow dry (honestly I found it life changing)

IncrediblySadToo · 29/12/2019 22:54

Jesus wept. I cannot believe all the ousts telling you to hide it it saying they hide the good stuff.

What happened to RESPECT?

He needs to respect YOUR products as do all the DG’s & children mentioned above. Unless the DC are very small (and should be being supervised in the shower/bath anyway) there’s just NO excuse for anyone disrespecting you in your own home like that.

Branster · 29/12/2019 22:55

This thread is hilarious!
Is my DH the only one who can’t actually see the labels properly whilst in the shower? He now has his own blue shower gel bottle (any brand as long as it’s blue then he knows that’s his) and stopped touching my stuff, it was the only way forward.
