I will start

Someone who constantly bangs on about politics , especially the ones who make the same points over and over again about Brexit.

OP posts:
Gingerninja01 · 29/12/2019 20:22

Photographing new car/bag/shoes etc and sharing to social media
Photographing plates of food/fancy drinks just to let everyone know you've been somewhere flash
Doing a good deed/volunteering purely to inform your social media pals about it
Sharing photos of your children online when all you're really doing is saying "look at what a good parent I am taking my child here/feeding them this" instead of protecting their privacy and perhaps their safety by not plastering photos of them online

NameChangeNugget · 29/12/2019 20:27

People that “check in” to hospitals.

Drama queens Biscuit

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 29/12/2019 20:31

@AmazingGrace16 yes marking safe when they are miles away gets my goat as well

Overbearing relatives that comment on every single post and like every single picture within 2 seconds of it being posted.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 29/12/2019 20:32

Oh yeah, and posing pictures so everyone can see how 'sexy' they are Hmm

bananaskinsnomnom · 29/12/2019 20:34

Making memories

I’ve been truly spoilt. Good for you!

#spoilt
#myperfectfamily
#sorrynotsorry

Posts saying things like “if you don’t want to bother with my children then don’t expect me to bother with you my children are always first not you”

“No one understands just how much I’ve been through”

“No one understands” posts on general. Everyone gets a different set of cards in life, I hate these posts because they don’t understand everything either!

Posts that put one job above another. Some I’ve seen recently:
“Nurses make you comfortable and recognise when a doctor has got your prescription wrong”
“Waiting staff are ON THEIR FEET FOR 12 HOUR SHIFTS ON MINIMUM WAGE at a time! Tip generously” (no shit Sherlock, so are retail staff, hospital assistants, cleaners, hotel staff, nursery staff..... also minimum wage, on feet the whole time for example)

The posts made when a human makes a human error that caused no harm and they apologised but the “victim” still has to name and shame them.

yesterdayhasgone · 29/12/2019 20:34

Not sure if this has been said but people who say about dead relatives “hope you’re partying hard up there” like they think heaven is going to be one big piss up.

TabbyMumz · 29/12/2019 20:34

People that complain noone likes their pictures. Why do we have to? Maybe we dont like them? Maybe not everyone is as glued to fb as you?

woooooo · 29/12/2019 20:35

"Share this lucky shamrock/angel/picture of money and you'll get lots of money tomorrow!" I asked my online friend who posts these if they actually truly believed it- and they did 🤦🏼‍♀️

Also the animal abuse pictures attached to petitions 😞 I caused a massive heated debate on an animal group on FB when I quite politely posted that I didn't want to see such pictures (still can't get the image out of my head and it was months ago) but I just couldn't let it pass without saying something.

coldwarenigma · 29/12/2019 20:38

All of the above...I'm getting less patient the older I get.

There is one young man on mine who doesn't have the intellect to critically think when he posts shite and I have sometimes popped him or his mum a message when its something that could cause him a problem..eg Britain first memes that seem innocent. I usually get a thank you and he removes it.

I have been known to make sarcastic comments to those who should know better.. and be removed from their friend list, job done

Dizzygirl00 · 29/12/2019 20:38

“Truly blessed”
“Am fuming” - you ok hun? - yeah I’m fine
Politics 🙄

lotusbell · 29/12/2019 20:47

Christmas/date night with my one/this one

Jellybeansincognito · 29/12/2019 20:47

People that clearly read and take the ‘secret’ as gospel and try and make everyone else just as positive.

Thehollyandtheirony · 29/12/2019 20:48

Posts featuring humans instead of dogs.

Brefugee · 29/12/2019 20:51

People who tag their significant other when contemplating going to an event they've just seen advertised and then continue to make the full logistical arrangements on Facebook when (presumably) they're sat next to them on the sofa at home.

meh - I'm often in a different city to my OH and if I see something on fb that we might want to go to it's the easiest way to make arrangements.

also people asking for a pizza place/taxi firm/hairdresser/mortician in local groups could google, but they are looking for a recommendation from someone who has used a good service.

Most of the other peeves i'll agree with. Especially "you've been doing x wrong all these years" (fuck you, you have no idea how I've been doing it)

"hacks" - using a trouser hanger to hang a recipe off a kitchen cupboard isn't a hack...

SuperMeerkat · 29/12/2019 20:52

Yes to the politics and also to people who post ‘cryptic updates’ eg ‘Just can’t believe he’s done this again, do his children mean nothing?!!’ They then wait for the appropriate number of ‘you ok Hun?’ Before responding with ‘I’ll PM you’ I refuse point blank to engage with these people 🤦‍♀️🤬🤬

MustDust · 29/12/2019 20:52

Photos of massive plates full of food their diet 'allows' them. No one 'likes' it as they've hidden you.
Sharing shite to win a 'centre parks' holiday, land rover etc. How thick are you?
Anything to do with bloody brexit.

JuniLoolaPalooza · 29/12/2019 20:52

I have stopped looking at Instagram as everyone on there seems to be an influencer wannabe so is telling you to be as perfect as them. Ugh.

All the general preachiness and virtue signaling too.

GorkyMcPorky · 29/12/2019 20:55

Family who can't be arsed with my DCs in real life but like pics of them on social media.

TooGood2BTrue · 29/12/2019 20:58

People who brag about all the exercise they do and all the healthy foods they eat.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 29/12/2019 20:58

Share this to win a holiday!!

Cryptic status and the whole..I'll PM you hun.

Stupid shares of things such as..enter your pin backwards the police will come!

Over share. I've had people post photos of their sick child in hospital or with their head bleeding. I'm sure they'll thank you for that.

Selfies with..look how ugly I am. If felt that way surely you wouldn't share it with the world to see. Know a confidence boost is nice every now and then but sometimes.. no.

SexlessBoulderBelly · 29/12/2019 21:00

People sharing the ‘a man got into the back of my car while I paid for petrol so the cashier told me not to get back in my car and call
The police, this is a new way of kidnapping young women’ absolute bullshite stories. You only
Have to bloody google it and it comes up on scopes as fakery.

Also hate people who overbearing brag about doing one good deed. Donated £10 to charity? Brilliant.. but we don’t need a thousand word essay on how it means so much to you because your cat also has one leg and 3 eyes.

SexlessBoulderBelly · 29/12/2019 21:04

Oh and “it’s snowing.” Statuses.

“New year, new me!”

“Like this post if you don’t want to be deleted, sorting my friends list”

Overly personal statuses about family issues.

Overly personal bitching statuses that use the persons name directly but are not tagged.

People who check into hospital with the following post “With -insert child’s name-“ - wanting attention and wanting everyone to comment asking why your child is in hospital.

Also just people who check into hospital with an emoji like this for reference 😖

chilledteacher · 29/12/2019 21:04

#makingmemories 🤬

Tahitiitsamagicalplace · 29/12/2019 21:05

People who check in at hospital, or worse, show a photo of their cannula. Why the fuck would you share a photo of a cannula in your arm? Maybe if your leg is hanging off or you got a coat hanger stuck in your eye I'd be more interested to see that, but not a bloody boring mundane cannula.

People who share every aspect of their mundane life. People who make a drama out of every little thing.

Couples who share a social media account. One of them definitely cheated.

TabbyMumz · 29/12/2019 21:06

People who repost articles about kids being bullied and say "if I get my hands on that bully, I'll ring his neck" or such like.....oh the irony.
