I will start

Someone who constantly bangs on about politics , especially the ones who make the same points over and over again about Brexit.

OP posts:
GoldenPlatitudes · 30/12/2019 18:47

People posting photos of their kids when they are ill

'poor x not feeling well with a cold and high temp, cuddles on the couch'

Followed by a photo of child lying looking all hot and bothered with a blanket 😥 I would hate somebody to do it to me when I'm lying all snotty and feeling sorry for myself !! Would want to ram their phone where the sun doesnt shine

Mmmmdanone · 30/12/2019 19:01

People (sil) who tag me in photos of their kids when I wasn't even there at the time.

Mmmmdanone · 30/12/2019 19:03

Oh, and people who bang on about "can't wait for the kids to be off school" and you know that all they do is moan about them not being at school 🙄

ooooohbetty · 30/12/2019 19:25

Anyone who posts multiple political posts is unfriended by me

Downunderduchess · 30/12/2019 19:31

#wifey to describe a friend... yuck

Mrsjayy · 30/12/2019 19:40

#wifey to describe a friend... yuck

I have just. Seen that on Facebook I thought my recently divorced friend was in a same sex relationship Grin

If MN is also a form of Social Media (I suppose it is although it’s anonymous), there’s plenty on here that I find weird and off putting too.

Pop2017 · 30/12/2019 20:56

Sounds silly but when someone on a selling page lists ‘chester draws’. I struggle to fight the temptation to correct them 🤣

iklboo · 30/12/2019 22:16

@Pop2017 - yep. See also your / you're, could of etc. Come to Pedants' Corner - you'll love it! 😄

windycuntryside · 30/12/2019 22:17

Social media generally is unhealthy. Look at me memememe!!!! Culture is cringe 😬!

ComeOnGordon · 30/12/2019 22:35

@ooooohbetty but those people are always back on fb 2 days later. They can’t survive without the attention.

Freesunglasses · 31/12/2019 07:52

My friend posts a lot. She posted she was feeling down so i PM her (genuinely concerned) and had the shortest reply yet she'd reply to those on Facebook with more explanation. The thing is most of the people she has on Facebook are aquaintances, she gets so many comments and much concern.

I've realised she's an attention seeker so I just ignore her posts now.

Newkitchen123 · 31/12/2019 10:15

The latest one is the ten year photos
OMG look how I've aged.
Cue... Oo you look fab

Holidayaddict · 31/12/2019 10:18

@freesunglasses I had one of those. Most of the people commenting were internet aquaintences who lived miles away. One even urged "local friends" to rally round, cook meals, offer to do housework etc. Thing is, the local friends knew she was an attention seeking drama llama who brought most of her problems upon herself.

billysboy · 31/12/2019 10:31

must be the photos of normal people who then pout in a selfie

You look terrible , just be normal

PentreBachCymraeg · 31/12/2019 10:38

Inspirational mlm quotes and how amazingly wonderful it is to spend all their time with their kids whilst working from home. Shut up Sharon, you're skint and not making a packet every week, not going on that holiday. Nor do you have that flash car.. Plus all your selfies are heavily filtered, skinnified, smoothed and blended so much i almost didn't recognise you in the street. Miracle skin products my arse.

leasedaudi · 31/12/2019 15:22

People with teeth like this claiming they need their teeth straightened and promoting an invisible braces company Confused FML

Any 'feeling blessed/ loved/ thankful/ sad/ proud' type posts, especially referring to immediate family and young children that will not see the post. If you want to let your child know that you are proud of them perhaps just tell them in person Hmm

Babyroobs · 31/12/2019 16:20

I have a fb friend who is absolutely obsessed with posting every movement of her teenage son and his gf's life on fb. I'm amazed they agree to it or maybe they don't. Every trip to McDonalds, every minor achievement is posted. Today she posted that her dh was checked in for a minor growth removal on his face ffs.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 31/12/2019 16:38

Yes,'I can't stand the "blessed", "feeling thankful " posts either. Also the "proud mummy" posts! Yawn

Newmetoday · 31/12/2019 16:46

People who use it to bully, insult and intimidate anyone who voted differently to them.

cheeseislife8 · 31/12/2019 16:47

Lists of first names of people who are 'having a baby soon' or similar. That can fuck right off

All of the above!

Galahappy · 31/12/2019 17:01

The witch hunts.

Eg the weekend before Christmas, some guys who were all very drunk made some offensive comments to a pair of girls on a train, another man stepped in and told them to calm down.

The girls posted a lot of it and there were about 6 photos and 3 videos on Facebook. Cue over 1000 comments in days, people contacting the guys’ employers, physical threats made etc.

Now I’m not saying the guys were right, but lots of people have done stupid things when they have been drunk but the level of stupid that post went to was crazy. Why would anyone contact an employer of someone who was drunk and a bit badly behaved towards some random person you don’t know on Facebook?

It’s been deleted now.
