Granted he did not show up to be in her life until she was 5 and there bond is not great at all but surely if he can play puggy machines at amusements with her and himself he can buy a half decent gift. She probably spent more off her pocket money on his gift than he did on her.
Ps I can't even say anything as there is no talking to him.
Daughter had been out and about round shops earlier and had shown him gifts she would have liked but paid no attention. Not the first her birthday she got £40 as well as last Christmas the same.
