To not have gone out for 3 days?

My brother is staying with me and as my kids were running around he said " gosh, these kids have been stuck at home for 3 days, literally " 🤣 we haven't left the house since Tuesday, just eating drinking and watching films/playing with their toys. To be fair it has been raining here and I just can't be bothered to go out in the cold and rain. The dad is coming to collect them today they're staying with him for a few days

AIBU? Or does my brother have a point that it's weird not going out? Blush

yy blouse a walk is still "chilling out". It's not stressful.

As a one off, I dont think 3 days inside is the worst thing in the world, but unless I or my DD was ill I'd be bored at home 24/7.

I am in no way an outdoorsy person but I do think fresh air and natural light are an important thing to encourage. Even just a walk around the block or to the local shop for a newspaper/pint of milk helps me immeasurably with my mental health as I have anxiety and generally find that in winter my medications just arent as effective as I cant get out as much. I love a lazy day indoors, especially in bad weather or if I'm ill, but after day 2 I start to get cabin fever. Also I find that my asthma gets worse when I'm indoors with all the artificial heat/stuffiness so even if I dont go out, I try to make sure I open windows/dont overheat the house to get fresh air every day.
