To ask what does your DH/DP do for a living?

Was married to someone for 6 years who did fuck all in or out of the house. He's very workshy and his lack of ambition and laziness killed any love I had for him. I couldn't respect him. Funny enough I was made to feel a 'gold digger' Hmm Never again.

So I'm just curious, what does your DH do for a living?

Dh is a supervisor in a payments team for share dealing, we work in the same department but not in the same team (wouldn't be allowed)

small2018 · 26/12/2019 14:16

Academic doctor. Earns 45k not 70k!

GOODCAT · 26/12/2019 14:17

Welder

Moose42 · 26/12/2019 14:17

Retail manager, which is something I don’t think many realise is as poorly paid as it is. He isn’t lazy and works incredibly hard for less than £20k, and I’m happy with that as long as he is.

GOODCAT · 26/12/2019 14:17

And pulls his weight at home

Mine is 62 and has been ‘easing into’ retirement for several years now! I would say on average he works one or two days a week. He does event security (Supervisory) mostly but occasionally still does Close Protection if it’s somebody he likes (rare!)

Defender90 · 26/12/2019 14:18

Mechanical engineer.

NonUrinatInVentum · 26/12/2019 14:19

Scrum Master at a nuclear research facility

NemophilistRebel · 26/12/2019 14:20

Ex was an IT guy and horrible, also financially abusive.

DH is a designer. Doesn’t earn as much as IT but I feel far richer

ViciousJackdaw · 26/12/2019 14:20

@RunQRun I'm married to a -bespoke furniture craftsman- joiner as well. Does your DH spend inordinate amounts of time staring down the line of an upturned piece of wood to check if it's straight too?

ViciousJackdaw · 26/12/2019 14:20

strike fail!

ChangingMyNameFromMUUUUUMMMM · 26/12/2019 14:20

Boat designer

CloseEncountersOfTheTerfKind · 26/12/2019 14:21

It's too outing to tell you. He also has a very outing secret hobby which I need to start many threads about and refuse to disclose said outing hobby.

(It isn't, and he doesn't, but I fucking hate threads like these)

YolandiFuckinVisser · 26/12/2019 14:23

Blacksmith

Keepmewarm · 26/12/2019 14:24

pinkmagic1 · 26/12/2019 14:26

IndieTara · 26/12/2019 14:27

Nothing, I don't have either

OublietteBravo · 26/12/2019 14:27

Senior manager bridging R&D and marketing in a reasonably large company. I have a more senior role in a different company, and earned roughly twice what he did last year. MIL still believes I’m a gold digger.

StanleyWalkersThirdWife · 26/12/2019 14:27

@leghairdontcare Grin

The80sweregreat · 26/12/2019 14:30
