Was married to someone for 6 years who did fuck all in or out of the house. He's very workshy and his lack of ambition and laziness killed any love I had for him. I couldn't respect him. Funny enough I was made to feel a 'gold digger' Hmm Never again.

So I'm just curious, what does your DH do for a living?

Same here @CurlsandCurves glad to find another plumber spouse on here! He is a bright man, and does very well, we go on lovely holidays, have a comfortable life, nice home, and he has had his own successful business established since his mid twenties. I’m immensely proud of him. But apparently his profession condemns us to Netmums 🤷‍♀️

Oh, I’m a gold digger too...I just knew he’d keep me well when he started out on £2.50 an hour all those years ago...

Don’t have a DH. Don’t think I ever will. Proper on the shelf am I! But at least I don’t have to worry about aibus like these....

CountryGirl1234 · 27/12/2019 20:51

Tree Surgeon, we both are although I’m not on the tools much now. We have a small income, most of our money goes on accreditation’s, kit & fuel.

He's the commercial director for a national property development company.

Ohpleasefuckofflove · 27/12/2019 21:14

He’s my steward/slave and has his own business.

The1andonly11 · 27/12/2019 21:17

Builder/ decorator. Very proud. My 5 year old son also wants to follow in his footsteps which is great as there will probably be a demand for jobs of this ilk then as all the Dads/ Granddads who fix things now will be gone!

MissingLinker · 27/12/2019 21:25

Head Horse Groomer. 17k. Loves his job.

FrazzlesMum67 · 27/12/2019 21:26

EggysMom · 27/12/2019 21:27

Nothing "for a living". He's a SAHD and primary carer for our disabled son.

Jontomsam · 27/12/2019 21:28

DH is a Karate Instructor/Sensei, loves his job. We’re not loaded but he’s fit and fast Grin

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 27/12/2019 21:29

Part time caretaker on a housing estate.

BroomstickOfLove · 27/12/2019 21:29

Nothing. He was super frugal in his twenties and thirties, and now has enough savings not to have to work, so he doesn't.

Proseccoagain · 27/12/2019 21:35

A government department and I wasn't allowed to tell anyone what he did. DD, when asked as a child, used to say that daddy works for the Queen.

Selene28 · 27/12/2019 21:36

Nothing. He was super frugal in his twenties and thirties, and now has enough savings not to have to work, so he doesn't

Does he get taxed on that?

How frugal was he? No holidays, beans on toast for lunch and dinner?

FuckyNel · 27/12/2019 21:36

Banker

Westiegirl3 · 27/12/2019 21:57

MD of a steel manufacturer company, he's highly stressed most of the time and earns more than double what I do but I don't believe he works any harder and he's certainly not in the office as long as I'm at work each day. He does however do his fair share at home but we have cleaner who does more than both of us lol

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 27/12/2019 21:59

He diddles with websites. That's about as much as I understand. Words like 'website architecture' 'user journey' get bandied about a bit....

Yorkshiretolondon · 27/12/2019 22:06

He’s a brilliant primary school PE Teacher, qualified a bit later in life, I’m also a teacher bit more senior and taught longer so I earn more.... he’s the gold digger loooool! ..... he’s not really just joking

GinPin2 · 27/12/2019 22:06
