I’m feeling sad as I’ve read So many posts from people saying they’re disappointed, or DH’s haven’t bothered etc and they’re having a shit time.
Have you received everything you asked for ?

DH has been very good this year and more festive than ever knowing we have a little one the size of a poppy seed inside me currently ! I think that’s helped lol
DH is doing all the cooking as I can’t bare the smell but I’m going to try my best .
I’ve been asking for 6 years for cow girl boots (something i have always wanted), but still awaiting those 🤣 but other than that I’m happy and hope you are too!

The monkey reminds me of the one from His Dark Materials, if you've been watching it @thismeansnothing - I love it haha!

I bought DH theatre tickets for a show he really wants to see. He got me a hairdresser voucher (which I wanted) and some boring generic toiletries that you'd buy for someone you didnt know. I would have been happier with just the voucher because I know he subjected himself into going into town to buy something extra so I had a surprise but I feel bad that it was a waste of time because I'm not sure I'll use them.

We're saving for a house and have baby number 2 on the way, so I was happy with a bottle of my favourite perfume Smile. He got socks, jocks and a selection box!

@ElizabethMountbatten perhaps it's time to reign back on how much you spend on him at Christmas and birthdays. Your husband had no excuse to not get you something you wanted, considering you gave him a list.
What did he say when you asked him why he hadn't used the list?

Itsmybirthday19 · 27/12/2019 13:34

Yes, I was very spoilt: a beautiful Prada bag, cashmere loungewear and socks, earrings and a coat.

Oh, and a Tipping Point board game to add to my vast collection 😄

And he did all the cooking.

5 stars, would recommend to a friend.

I am slightly sad - DH has very little money so I asked him not to get me anything for Christmas, and I'd find something cheap he could buy me in the sales after Christmas (we are talking under £20, so I could easily have found, say, silver earrings in that price bracket). However, he felt I should have "something to open" and he's bought me some toiletries (a Baylis & Harding foot lotion set) which I will obviously use so as not to disappoint him, but isn't something I have any need or wish for. I only ever use E45 or Sudocrem on my skin!

I can't help feeling it's a shame and though his intentions were good, I wish he had listened to me - but, hey-ho - he meant well.

really really happy with my complete surprise gift that he arranged to be delivered to a friend's place and i really didn't have a clue about it at all. Still grinning about it (it's something horribly nerdy Grin)

I asked for hand cream or face cleanser or some nice chocolate. I got a dressing gown, slippers and some perfume. Am I happy? Yes. Because he put thought into it as I’m always cold and my feet are always freezing and Marc Jacobs perfumes are my faves. I also told him he didn’t have to get me anything and tbh I prefer surprises anyway.

I had lovely meaningful gifts from mine. I never ask for anything specific. I love everything he gave me.
