Lemons.

Saracen · 24/12/2019 04:47

Could be a good excuse to get to know the neighbours, right?

Only for some of these things, obviously: you might have to cover Greater Manchester before you found somebody able and willing to supply the cheese footballs. But I expect lots of neighbours would be glad to give you some foil.

Gravy. Our butcher sells packs of turkey gravy.😀

aquashiv · 24/12/2019 06:31

Spuds
Carrott
Brussel sprouts
Selection boxes
Cranberry sauce
I'm doing well

DanielRicciardosSmile · 24/12/2019 06:35

I've also forgotten pickled onions. There's a co-op about 15 minutes away, I'm deliberating whether or not I can be both reduction walking over there after I've been to the butcher's on the offchance they might have some.

Dog food and milk.

Am currently hiding under my duvet pretending I can stay here instead of getting up and doing battle for two measly things...grrrr....

Good luck everyone!

I didn’t think we’d forgotten anything until I realised last night that our M&S order hasn’t contained the Colin the Christmas Caterpillar!! And now I can’t find my receipt so don’t even know if they charged us for it.

Lemonade didn’t get packed in the car either (and nobody told me so I could pick some up when I was in the shop, despite asking if we needed anything else) so I had to do without yesterday, as I couldn’t be bothered to go out again. Think I’ll go on strike next year and let someone else sort everything out while I sit on my arse all over Christmas with a token contribution. Hmm Can you tell I’m tired and grumpy?!

I can’t sort the Case of the Missing Colin out now, as we’re at Center Parcs, so I’m hoping they have some sort of dessert in the supermarket! And we didn’t bring any lube either Grin

RiddleyW · 24/12/2019 07:16

I missed eggs! I need them to make the trifle. I think the garage will have them

MrsJonesAndMe · 24/12/2019 07:18

I forgot M&Ms for the biscuits the children are baking (went and did the shop yesterday morning) but DH went into town afterwards to get the meat, so he got some then.

It's just 4 of us this year, so not feeling to pressurised - we could eat/make do without something if needed.

Coffee Angry

orangejuicer · 24/12/2019 08:00

Crumpets for the baby but we'll manage.
Shop didn't have any sprouts and I am not going out again so we'll just make do. We're not having a proper lunch this year anyway as we're both shattered!

icklekid · 24/12/2019 08:03

Yes crisps for me too oh and soft drinks for mil- plenty of beer and wine and gin but she’s staying Christmas Eve and suddenly realised she might like something other than squash- she does drink just not loads —unlike me and dh—

Megan2018 · 24/12/2019 08:05

Peanuts. But we have pistachios and cashews so I don’t care enough to go out (8 mile drive to a shop).

Natsel84 · 24/12/2019 08:39

Baileys ! 😭

iheartchristmas92 · 24/12/2019 10:31

@aquashiv that's basically all of Christmas 😩🤣 hope you manage them today

We couldn't get 1000 island dressing in our local Tesco Extra this morning. Dh drives past one on the way home from work, he described it as a "war zone" and they were also out of 1000 island.

You know it's just technically mayonnaise and ketchup right?, if you have those you can make your own....
