I need to move to where people do their job properly

John Lewis - appalling customer service just cancelling orders without telling me.
Insurance company - lying about what was agreed. I’ve even got emails.
School secretary - basic but important request not even acknowledged.
Shall I go on?
Husband - playing on his phone while there are 2098 things to do.
Where in the country or the world do people do their job happily and properly??? I’m off there.

I don’t know, but I am coming with you.

ColaFreezePop · 23/12/2019 13:18

No where.

I've learnt over the years any large company you always put things in writing using your own email or using signed for delivery if sending a letter.

Germany?

PETRONELLAS · 23/12/2019 13:32

I previously thought Germany and it is very efficient but heard of some corruption at local level - planning related so not life or death but enough to tick it off the list!

Having lived in Germany I can tell you they're not as efficient as they're made out to be 😂😂

BikeRunSki · 23/12/2019 14:48

The Netherlands have always seemed pretty well organised when I have visited. I lived there for a year as a child, maybe I have rose tinted specs when I visit.

Not France. Agree about the UK though.

Jumpi · 23/12/2019 14:51

Switzerland. Without a doubt. Plus they have excellent animal welfare laws, what more could you want?

Isleepinahedgefund · 23/12/2019 15:41

I reckon Switzerland too. Although from my experiences you'd be a bit bored there.

Personally I quite like crapness and inefficiency - without it you don't get that warm fuzzy feeling when someone eventually actually helps you properly!

Cmagic7 · 23/12/2019 22:14

Yeah, definitely not France!
