To go out and buy dessert just for me?

DP is moaning he wants a beer. I told him to go to the local shop at the end of our road and get some. He was actually hinting at me to go but I'm not drinking as we have a newborn. I thought he would probably go as it's a Friday night.

I've just asked him if he is going out to get beer and he said no. I then suggested he goes out anyway to get dessert. Apparently it is too cold to go out but I should go. Now I might add that I always end up going and I buy him what he wants. I do realise that as it is me who wants dessert I should go out, but just once it would be nice if he treated me (like I do him!). So would I be unreasonable in going out and buying a dessert just for me? Or do I just make pancakes and eat with thick set Bailey's Irish double cream (he doesn't like them!).

Make the pancakes 🙂 They sound delish! You won’t have to go out in the cold and it won’t be the cause of an argument. But also don’t put up with him being so selfish!!!

Pancakes!

Pancakes! He's a lazy fecker (unless there's a drip-feed that he's got no legs...)

Pancakes for sure! Also, can I have some? That sounds delicious

Of course if you do go out he’ll suddenly want that beer just enough to make him ask you to get him one since you are going anyway.

Pancakes for everyone. I'm not going to lie, the cream I have been eating like yogurt. It is so good Biscuit

Pancakes. You keep the moral high ground (as in, you're not going out into the cold but refusing to bring him anything) AND you get an amazing dessert, probably better than anything bought.

And even if he doesn't like them, he'll still have to watch you smacking your lips at every mouthful Grin.

Pancakes! And leave the washing-up for him!
