Don't then🤷

Isleepinahedgefund · 20/12/2019 12:23

Who are you buying for? Time to cut the list down.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 20/12/2019 13:03

Just buy for your kids. Adults can get whatever they want throughout the year they don't need to wait for someone else to get it for them for xmas.

Book your haircut.

Only your children need presents- and those can be few & inexpensive.
Can you return some things & rethink how you want to do this Christmas?

feistymumma · 20/12/2019 13:11

Just don't buy anything. If money is tight then small gifts. It's the thought that counts.

Drum2018 · 20/12/2019 13:14

Too late for this year but for next year onwards ... If you have kids buy for them and forget anyone else. If you don't have kids then set up a kris kindle between family members. Don't buy for extended family (aunts, cousins etc) or friends. Set a reminder on your phone for next September/October and at that time send a message to everyone either suggesting the kris kindle, or telling them you aren't partaking in gift exchange. It's that simple to cut back. Nobody can force you to buy them gifts.

From January 2020 payday work out how much you want to spend in total for Christmas 2020. Divide the figure by 12 and set up a standing order to a difficult to access savings account for that amount to leave your current account on payday.

Thanks I have messaged all the people that might expect a gift and said I am not doing it this year, my family have been brought for and I have returned the gifts that I brought for the sake of it. Thank you for the reply's. x
