what you get v. what you would prefer to get?

Thinking how often people moan about being given socks/toiletries/etc every year. So, what do you give such people that makes it unreasonable for their thoughtless/repetitive presents? I'm not guilty btw just wondering

A certain relative has given me a certain type of chocolates every year for the last 10 - 15 years.
I tell said relative every year 'oh i dont eat these ones' but every year it persists. Randomly.
Said relative is v close and always asks for a much pricier gift from me, im offended every year by the thoughtlessness of it all.

Guess you're like me and unable to ignore their suggestions for what they would like even though they ignore what you say. I faked forgetfulness one year but it didn't feel nice to be as mean.
