To think social media and online forms have actually been to the detriment of the Labour Party?

I think that the pictures people can add to their profiles saying they are voting labour and the statuses on twitter and the endless threads here make people believe there’s actually lots of support for the Labour Party and that anyone who votes conservative is either rich or stupid (or both.)

Meanwhile ordinary people are voting conservative, not telling anyone and getting on with their day.

In short, I don’t think MN helps the Labour Party at all.

I’m not sure I can say whether you’re U or not, but if there’s a take away from the election it’s that social media does not equal the world.

Social media seems to have been the main source of the anti-semitic comments by party members that under Jeremy Corbyn the Labour Party has failed to act adequately upon.
