Am I being unreasonable takeaway driver gave ripped £5.00. When I said to change it he's walked away. I've contacted the takeaway and asked them to change it. But seriously think they knew about the money and tried to get rid off it. Am I getting angry about nothing

Erm just sellotape it back together if it’s in two pieces.

I didn’t think the new ones ripped though Confused

Glitterkitten24 · 13/12/2019 21:33

Yes, angry about nothing.

TheChippendenSpook · 13/12/2019 21:33

You can still used them when they are torn.

PaperbackBlighter · 13/12/2019 21:34

What a bizarre reaction.

inwood · 13/12/2019 21:34

Yes you are getting angry about nothing.

TheSpatchcock · 13/12/2019 21:35

It's still money

WolfOfOdin · 13/12/2019 21:35

I work in a shop and the new ones most definitely do rip.

If we are handed a ripped one we just sellotape it

BalanchineBallet · 13/12/2019 21:36

Angry about nothing.
Take it to the bank and get them to swap it for a complete one if it pisses you off that much.

Biancadelrioisback · 13/12/2019 21:36

Why are you so mad? Confused

20viona · 13/12/2019 21:36

Bizarre

MarilynMorose · 13/12/2019 21:37

It’s still legal tender unless it’s an old ripped paper note. YABU - just spend it.

MistyCloud · 13/12/2019 21:37

@Naz024

Agree with a pp. How can it rip? They are plastic now, not paper! Hmm

Spied · 13/12/2019 21:38

I'd be mad too OP.
Cheeky fucker.

Teachermaths · 13/12/2019 21:38

What?!

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 13/12/2019 21:45

Just take it to a bank to get it changed if it bothers you so much. It's legal tender. You'll still be able to spend it. Slightly odd reaction to be honest.

Nicknacky · 13/12/2019 21:46

Just sellotape it.

ALemonyPea · 13/12/2019 21:48
Hmm
AlwaysThereForEveryoneElse · 13/12/2019 21:48

Tape it. It's doesn't affect use. I caught a 20 in my purse once.. Really mangled it in the zip.. And I just taped it. It was even missing a corner.

enjoyingscience · 13/12/2019 21:48

Did you only get half of it? If you’ve got a whole one with a rip in, I can’t see the problem.

QuillBill · 13/12/2019 21:55

The driver might have thought you were joking.

JasonPollack · 13/12/2019 21:56

😂😂😂

eaglejulesk · 13/12/2019 21:59

Just tape it up if it bothers you. I don't see what the problem is?

Moooooooooooooooooo · 13/12/2019 21:59

a ripped £5 note. Really? Grow the fuck up.

Originalusernameunavailable · 13/12/2019 22:05

As long as you have an intact serial number it’s legal tender and fine.

MuffleKerfuffleUSnuffleWuffle · 13/12/2019 22:07

If its ripped (torn, not cut) it is a fake and if you take it to the bank they will seize it not replace it.
